Khumoyun Begmuratov and Eline Roebers Win World Junior Rapid Titles
Uzbekistan’s Khumoyun Begmuratov and the Netherlands’ Eline Roebers won the Open and Girls titles at the 2026 FIDE World Junior Rapid Championship in Al Ain. Begmuratov finished unbeaten on 7.5/9, with six wins and three draws. Roebers scored 7/9. India’s Pranav V. and Azerbaijan’s Raad Samadov completed the Open podium, while Umida Omonova and Marina Kuznetsova took silver and bronze in the Girls section.
